We had an absolute amazing time. The biggest property in Sintra including an own Forrest and hills to climb. A direct view onto the castle and nature. Stars like David Bowie or Bryan Adams stayed at the property for retreats. Sleeping in their room was quite a cool experience. More than enough space and nice interior. You feel a bit like in a Quentin Tarantino movie.
We also fell in love with the dog Tosta and the cat Trees. For anyone who likes nature, space and peace, we can highly recommend the place.

About Sequoias

The Exploratory Country House

Sequoias is nestled in the heart of Sintra’s Natural Park, in Portugal. It’s a small-scale, warm-hearted destination, where locals and travelers meet, rest, think, and experiment. We have created a relaxed atmosphere, combining private, social and outdoor areas for you to connect with yourself, with others and with Nature. If you believe that in Nature you are able to restore your balance, we would love to introduce you to Sequoias.

We call it Exploratory because we wish it to be a safe space for innovating and for rediscovering balanced ways of living together whilst regenerating the environment.
